Had a look at caught.co.uk on Archive.org and this mobile phone number is at the top of his home page, anyone from the UK fancy calling or sending a text?

+44 (0)7745 549 768

I have been trying to contact the owner of caught.co.uk for the past 3 weeks to get a refund but he has been ignoring me. I would keep well away from his service. The guys a crook.

The guy's been a member on here for years and is about as honest as they come. There must be some sort of issue going on. Have you rung the mobile number posted above?

I've used the caught service in the past without any issues and Chris always got back to me in 24 hours.

+ On the topic of a refund, I don't think you can get a refund on caught credits? only swap them; ie sell them to someone else and ask Chris to transfer them to the persons account.

This is the archive page from Aug 8th 2013 Caught credits info page:

http://web.archive.org/web/20130730204221/http://www.caught.co.uk/credits.php

Text from the credits page regarding refunds etc (my bolding):

To back order domain names you need to purchase sufficient credits, one credit per domain name. When you purchase a credit we monitor your domain name at a rate of 432,000 times per day divided by the current names actively being monitored, with preference given where the drop date is known. That is a rate of 200ms or 5 per second, typically a name would be registered within seconds. Your fee covers the registration of the domain name for a period of two years, the initial monitoring and free TAG change out or leave your domain with us to manage for you. Before purchasing credits please check the name(s) you are interested in are available for booking.

If the domain name you are monitoring is renewed or not successfully caught by us then you can move your credit to another name to monitor. A credit is only used when you catch a name. Credits have no expiry so you can continue to monitor a domain until you catch.

If you only have the need to monitor a single domain name and the name is renewed or not successfully caught by us then a single £30 credit can be refunded. No other refunds will be considered and any refund must be made within 60 days of purchase, if you have a number of credits you no longer require then you can sell them on to another user.

Refunds can only be processed by opening a support ticket.

Are you seeking a refund for more than 1 credit? If So, as above, Chris doesn't offer refunds for more than 1 single credit of £30, but as Murray mentioned above, it's correct that you can sell them to someone else and Chris will transfer the credit to the buyers account.

[edit]

Confirmed that Chris is happy to transfer credits if you sell them, see posts here: http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/drop-catching-domain-names/104287-24x-caught-co-uk-credits-sale.html
