If you want to do bulk whois lookups to check for availability of the new ".co" domain extension, you may need to add it to your domain check tool.
I use DomainNameAnalyser Pro v4 for that (have used it everyday for years now)
Go to:
Edit
Top Level Domain List
Type ".co" in the box and click ADD
Under Settings, set the WHOIS server to "whois.nic.co"
Port "43"
And the search token to "Not found:"
You can now do bulk WHOIS lookups for .CO domains
and it will show FREE if they aren't registered.
The settings should be similar in other tools.
