We all know about Google, Yahoo, MSN but what other contextual Ad companies could we use? Thought it would help helpful for a thread to list and comment on contenders. Please add and comment on any site you have used to help others have choice.

Google AdSense
Good qualify but low payout
(links, banners, text, image + more)

Yahoo! Publisher Network
not used

Microsoft adCenter

Ad-in-Motion

AdBrite

In my opinion, Adsense pays more than any other contextual service simply due to the competition they have for adspace.

One of the ad companies is doing my tits in :p

They require like 250,000 hits a month and have been trialing the site to measure traffic which is actually losing me revenue, as it appears they are going to trial my site for a month losing me 250,000 hits worth of revenue as they are not serving any ads in this trial its just a static holding banner. Not Impressed!

I havent found anything that precisely locates as closer matches as goodle does, adbrite just shoves anything that someone chooses on your keywords so you have to be extra carful or manually approve your stuff to not end up with a site loaded with arabic ads :p

YPN is not available in the UK yet...bout time they pulled the finger out, no wonder they're losing money.

Porn or warez no doubt; I had that problem last year so displayed ads from two companies during a three trial. Cant remember company.

Started an AdBrite test last week to notice the problem you talk about.
On the test banking site, im getting a single p2p TV advert :-?

Nope not porn or warez :p

If your not getting much update the site details as it goes back into the check list, I randomly delete my adzones and re-create them to get people to notice them as many only check the new sites. I also manually approved all mine, on auto I was lucky to hit $5 a week on manual I hit more like $8.

We distribute Yahoo ads via a range of contextual 1 click "adsense style" banners, 2 click cloud tag banners and an XML feed for larger publisher sites.

adshack.com

Pre-approval is reqd.

Badger what are the prerequisites via AdShack ?

I applied for Yahoo via my LA Registered Inc. and was told my traffic wasnt sufficient amongst a few other reasons, so is there any minimum traffic limits ? most other things can be solved pretty easily :)

I dont mind mentioning that all sub affiliates are approved by Y! themselves.. Saves us a job i guess :)

On a serious note, they measure stuff like affiliates having a "contact us" type page, about page, privacy policy and sites not looking generally dodgy. In total contrast to the Google policy of approving first, banning later.

For an XML feed users need to have a search box deployment already in place. We also favour sites that have an EU visitor base.

There are, of course, other scammer detection measures employed, but we ourselves do have some clout about recommending affiliates for approval.

If you need me to review something before seeking approval, just shout..
