Why do Nom insist on clogging up my inbox with instructions to visit links that are dead. Do they not proof read?

The information day is free of charge; lunch and light refreshments are
included. However, you will need to confirm your attendance in order to
secure a place as numbers are limited. All places are reserved on a first
come, first serve basis. To confirm, or find out more details, please
visit our website at:

Think Nominet systems are in a real mess at the moment. Dead links everywhere.

We've had about 25 of these new reg confirmation emails (sent by email instead of posting them) and all the links are dead because they weren't activated within 24 hours. Yet the email says you have 30 days to activate. So if you reg any new domains hang around your computer for a day, don't go away for the weekend, don't visit your friends, just so you can successfully activate the link immediately it arrives. I don't think any of Nominet's new systems have been thought thro' - its chaos down there. Perhaps now they've shut down Andrew's deleting site they could employ him to sort out the mess :)

I just renewed 32 domains and got 32 emails.

Without rigorously testing them all, only one seemed to have an unbroken link.

When I signed in it seemed to be suggesting I type in the code that was sent in my registration letter so I can consolidate my (700 .co.uk) domains into a single account.

No thanks.
