Im extremely sorry if this has been covered (I'm sure it will have been I just couldn't find it in the thread)

It may serve as reference for others in the future.

If I was to buy a domain from somebody say tomorrow that has been registered for years and has the rights according to the nominet lookup to the .uk will I also be eligible for the .uk?

Im pretty sure the answer is yes, I just couldn't find it in the documentation.

Thanks for your time.

Andy

Yes.

[edit]

Just for clarification, it's the domain name that holds the rights, not past, present or future domain owners, if any domain had the rights at the cut off point, then yes.
