Hello, after a little advice:
Can you please confirm if all .uk domians now drop 92 after expired date ? Or does the 99 days still apply ? - Nominet still show docs about 92 and 99 depending if the domain is detagged. What is the exact situation ?
I understand there are sometimes exceptions that we cannot control, but is 92 days what happens 98% of the time ?
Also, are there totally different numbers of domains drop on different days -
We have about 7.5 million registered .uk domains - (as opposed to the 9 million registered), so im guessing 1.5 million less is not a bad first list ?
I have analysed domains with expiry dates from the 10-10-2010 to the 27-10-2010.
If we work on todays date (22nd Jan 2011) and use the 92 day rule, then we are looking at expired date of 22-10-2010: we have got approx 1900 in our drop list for today (showing as susspended etc, and some how now be reregistered or available)
Dates after this - 22-10-2010 to the 27-10-2010 are all suspended state (and 1% have been reregistered), Which is correct.
Dates from the 22-10-2010 back to the 14-10-2010 are all registered etc or available. Which is correct.
However dates 10-10-2010 to the 13-10-2010 - i only have about 15 domains dropping in this file, for each date (with all our other dates we have 2000 odd) - does 15 look ok ? But also that is even stranger - on all 3 of these dates, 90% of the domains in the list are still in suspended state.
What are your thoughts on the above ?
Any Help appreciated.
Many Thanks
