Hey guys,

Quick question ..
I have a few Smart TV Box related domains and am debating creating a site for either integration with AliExpress and a few other retailers that drop ship
However would I be better to either integrate Amazon products as well or make it either a purely
amazon affiliate site or a purely dropship site ?

Amazon would mean recurring commissions from future purchases from the customer, however that would be the only benefit.
Not sure the site would seem less "trustworthy" f I had half drop ship & half products redirecting to amazon

Any thoughts ?

Maybe use the .co.uk for dropship or affiliate and create a replica on the .uk for the other ??
I dunno .. other thoughts welcome

Personally, I would go amazon and have some good content on the site. However, amazon cookies are very short so the recurring commission is very unlikely.

It's extremely hard to get new sites to rank, but small sites with thin content aren't going to do anything really except maybe a few £ a month. Take a close look at keywords and do an adsense campaign. Check, check and check again sales Vs cost of adds until you get it right.

Never spent a penny on FB ads :)
I do however use FB for a lot of promotions via pages / groups etc

I wouldn't expect this site to rank for the more popular terms as competitors like Argos etc dominate the first page.

Really ?
I've seen some right stories about drop shipping ads not converting / costing a fortune
on the otherhand some people swear by them

I do use other Ad networks such as Propeller Ads etc and do ok.

OK so slightly contradicting myself ,I did try FB ads once for something ( cant remember what )
The ad campaign was very very targeted and had a reach of only 32'000 by the time I drilled it down and I think my conversion rate after split testing etc was as low as 18% which was a complete waste of time.
That was years ago so probably should amend post to "Never spent a penny on FB ads in the last 3 years"

You're missing out

From what I remember the CTR was very good 62% or possibly higher but the actual sales conversion rate was low considering my ad spend on 1 campaign was around £600 probably more and the margin was around £7 - £10

Cant remember the exact amount of clicks but lets assume 310 visits
18% sale conversions = 55

55 * 8.5 ( split the difference and call it £8.50 margin ) = £467

That doesn't take into consideration fraudulent transactions & refunds

As low as 18%? Why is that low... most eCommerce stores would love a conversion rate like that.

I'm guessing it was more of an issue of ad spend or margins and it not being profitable. Facebook has got a lot better in the last few years where you can get cheaper clicks if you're ads are getting a good CTR etc.
