Premium domain for sale, excellent for developing a forum with massive traffic, calls, offers and publications of everything related to eBay.
(If you are concerned about taking a trade name, check directly with eBay and see that everything is approved, there is no problem using the domain for any purpose.
For written approval from eBay, contact me privately)

First of all, thank you very much for the comment.
True, eBay has its own forum, but because it is an internal forum, it has advertising limitations, and any message that does not like them is deleted immediately.

The domain I sell is intended to open an external forum that is not at all dependent on eBay, so that the forum owner can decide on a greater level of advertising freedom or expression of opinion, even if eBay themselves do not like it.

In addition, I think there are several forums dealing with eBay, however
no one has a direct, catchy and clear domain like the one I sell.

Thanks.

So godaddy actually broke the law by allowing me to register this domain?

And to all those who appear on this list?
tradebay.com
notebay.com
billiebay.com
chargebay.com
There are more such domains in the auction of godaddy

To the best of my understanding, the law prohibits the use of eBay's trade name when it leads to an error in identification, but the domain name was legally purchased and registered with godaddy.
thanks for your time

There's not really any point shooting the messenger. *IF* ebay decide that you are infringing on their trademark (as they have done in the past) you will either end up getting a C&D, a wipo, or a court case. Of course they may not bother but do you really want to build a business or base a revenue stream off such a risk? Pointing to other people and asking questions about them is irrelevant in this situation as they are not selling ebayforum.org here. Anyway I'm sure buyers will do their due diligence.

GODADDY
UNIFORM DOMAIN NAME DISPUTE RESOLUTION POLICY

Last Revised: 16 February 2012

2. YOUR REPRESENTATIONS

By applying to register a domain name, or by asking us to maintain or renew a domain name registration, you hereby represent and warrant to us that (a) the statements that you made in your Registration Agreement are complete and accurate; (b) to your knowledge, the registration of the domain name will not infringe upon or otherwise violate the rights of any third party; (c) you are not registering the domain name for an unlawful purpose; and (d) you will not knowingly use the domain name in violation of any applicable laws or regulations. It is your responsibility to determine whether your domain name registration infringes or violates someone else's rights.

Nobody with any sense would build anything on a domain that a major corporation could take by force if they so wished.

Which means nobody with any sense will buy your domain.

People with no sense typically have no money.

Thus, best course of action is to just delete the domain.

Be careful with trademarks, its not always as simple and cheap as having to hand over a domain when asked. E.g. You suggest a no-censorship ebay forum, well you stray into dangerous territory if you are breaching their trademark and the domain simultaneously hosts content which may be perceived as damaging to their business.

Just because you can find other examples of trademark violations against Ebay does not make your example exempt.

Godaddy or any other registrar is not the registered owner you are, so the onus is on you to make sure you are not in infringing on any trademarks.

Also your given examples are clearly different from your domain. These are words with the word bay on the end. Your domain starts with the word ebay followed by forum implying its a forum for ebay. tradebay.com is the word trade followed by the word bay as the words "trad" and "ebay" makes no sense and is unlikely to lead to any confusion regarding identity.

I my opinion this is infringing on a trademark so I would delete this domain asap. I wish you all the best of luck but I look ed at your other domains... I don't want to crush your dreams but they just seem to be either made up words or made up of 2 words that should not be put together.

this is what godaddy send me

Dear Customer,

As stated in the email that you received, you are not able to add the domain to GoDaddy's auction service because it contains a trademarked term.

You are free to use the domain for any standard purpose (website, email, etc) and you are free to sell the domain to any 3rd party either directly or through any non-GoDaddy affiliated sales or auction service.

Thank you.

Kindest Regards,

I'm not trying to prove anything, just to find out
Is it legal for them to sell me something I can not use?

And if eBay's own system will authorize me to sell the domain to them, does that mean something?

you say i own the domain? how can i own something bay them if i canot use it?

thanks

If the domain is registered to you then you 'own' it until the registration expires. It doesn't matter if you ever do anything with it. It's like leasing a flat - you may choose to live there or not but that makes no difference to your name being on the lease and you paying the rent.

If eBay had rented the domain to me, I would have understood what you said.
But how can they take money from me and rent me something that does not belong to them?

I mean, if I could not get money for this domain, how did godaddy get money from me for it?
thay make mony over someone else TM?

LIGHTME.ORG IS NOT NICE DOMAIN???

I think the best thing you can do is take the advice that has been generously given to you. You might then take some time researching this forum for more tips on how to strategise your business. There's plenty of valuable insight and experience to gain from.

If you rent a house then use it to sell drugs from is the estate agent liable?
Godaddy's registration is automated - you can register whatever you like.
If it then contains a trademarked word and you use it for anything remotely related to the trademark you open yourself to be sued for damages as you are trading from someone elses mark. If you don't use it you may just get away with handing over the domain or deleting the registration *if* the trademark holder (who has a lot more money than you) decides he doesn't want you to have it and can afford lawyers to tie you up and bleed you dry.
