hi, might not be the correct place to post this question, apoligies.

5 people are in the email group '[email protected]'

how can i tell if and who has replied to the email ?
i dont want all 5 people replying to the email.

im sure theres something simple out there but my minds a blank this morning.

You might have to expand on what exactly you want dude.

Are you in the email group?

What mail server software are you running?
 
OK, I think I know what you mean now.

You really need a shared mailbox that all the users have access to, instead of a distro list.

Create a folder inside that mailbox called 'Actioned' or 'Completed' and make the person that responded to that email, move it to that folder.

Then you know that emails in the inbox haven't been responded to and the mails in the other folder have.
 
thanks poshtiger, i get what your saying but i dont think i can have a shared mailbox, its just simple individual pop3 mailboxs.
 
You can, use IMAP and set the clients to leave a copy of the messages on the server.
 
Could you not use ticket monkey software like support do ?

Each of them gets send the email, they click a link which takes them to the support software (web interface) which indicates open/close/resolved etc ?
