We're having an old garage removed today (asbestos roof). As it's asbestos it's being done by a specialist company.

One of the guys was standing on top of the garage roof and fell backwards through it and straight onto an old freezer in the garage, landing on his back!

Why he was standing on it, god only knows.

He got up and walked away, he's lucky not to have broken his back, lol!

Are they also tarmacing your drive at the same time?

Shame you didn't video it, £250 from You Been framed and some revenue from youtube as it would've surely got thousands of hits.

Big shed with window and extension cable! ;)

LOL, good idea - could be a hybrid caravan-shed!

That's what the wife said - he was literally falling a dead drop backwards. Would have been a perfect clip! Least he's OK though, main thing.

Just of comment - I've been e-mailing a ton of fence installers in my area. It's surprising (or shouldn't I be surprised?!) that many of them have:

1. A website from the ark. Doesn't work properly and looks dreadful.
2. Even more of the contact e-mails bounce back and don't work for various reasons (I wonder how much work they must lose like this).

Some companies (large and small) need to come out of the dark ages! :D

re fencing, if you get cheep panels and wooden posts be prepared to replace them in about 7 years just like I'm doing :(

I'm going for concrete posts and decent panels this time ..

I had a similar experience with a husband-and-wife team of alleged tree surgeons who looked good on paper but were definitely not in practise! Husband went up into the tree with a chain saw and repeatedly dropped massive tree limbs onto the wife below - and my neighbours' sheds.

Fortunately no damage or severe injury but I began to worry about my potential legal liability having hired these nutters.

I'll definitely check their insurance status if I have to get workmen in again.
