How bad are Liverpool?

1-0 down to Wolves at home with 80 mins gone and Wolves are making attacking subs.

right now they'd take Big Mick or Big Sam :)

Arsenal chucked away a good opportunity again :(

I'd actually like to see BigSam at a club with a bit of dosh. Just don't know if Liverpool would put up with it... of course he'd be reunited with LittleSam again!

Then again I think he'll still end up at WestHam!

Why Liverpool keep playing such negative football is beyond me, been going on for year except for a few months 2 years ago when they took Real Madrid apart.

They just need a manager that doesn't care who the opposition is and gets at them, Big (play 10 at the back) Sam certainly ain't that guy. Saying that there are player there that are not Liverpool quality.

Yes, they are crap - which is great for a Utd fan:D:D:D

Amen to that brother!

The only thing makes me laugh more now is the call to bring back Benitez, as a Utd fan i am all for this and will sign any petition to bring him back!

If Liverpool keep misfiring and the management and fans want Hodgson out then there is an obvious choice waiting in the wings....Martin O'Neill.

Apparently he wanted the job last summer and was pretty miffed Liverpool overlooked him, so he'd be available. You only have to look at Villa right now to see how well he did there, as of course he did at Celtic, Leicester and Wycombe.

If any manager deserves a shot at managing a top club it has to be O'Neill. He's been successful everywhere he's been and can work on a budget. Plus his teams play pretty good football, which would suit the Liverpool tradition.

Cheers,

Ed

At least Liverpool got rid of their American blood suckers, you still got your's + most of your best players are retiring in the next couple of years and you are paying shrek 250K per week to miss penalty's.:D

lol
agreed

also agree with Ed, Martin Oneill is a very good manager and an intelligent guy, amazed he hasn't been snapped up by a big club

as a neutral result thrilled me
love overrated players and overpaid twats being put on their arse by the underdog :D
at home

I am a liverpool fan and yes they are crap this season, some bad purchases by Benitez in his last season, and some bad ones by Roy, plus negative tactics and players like Torres being a lazy whinging tart.

Getting rid of Alonso and Macherrano was a huge mistake.

Gerrard, Carragher, Cole, Agger, Johnson have all been injured for long periods of this season as well, this is not an excuse but contributing factors, but Man U aren't great this season either, obviously they are better than Liverpool, and yes they are top, but that is due to others slipping up and being inconsistant not due to any outstanding form of their own.

Liverpool will be back next season, and who knows, maybe it will be Man U's time to screw up?

Utd not great, and still....

Yes I know you are top, I mentioned it in my post?

ManU will more than likely win the league this season, mainly due to having a very good manager, vast experience in the sqaud and just enough quality players to put out a good eleven and a good bench.

But as I said earlier enjoy it while you can because Furgerson isn't going to live forever and alot of your best most experienced players are getting on a bit.

Gigs, Van de Sar, Scholes, Neville, Ferdinand, Sung, Owen, Berbatov, Hargreaves, Brown, Evra - All 30 or Over.

with players like Carrick, Vidic being 29.

Ronaldinho is the football equivalent of the Harlem Globetrotters and would be a genuinely bad signing for Blackburn unless the rules are changing so that goals can only be scored by landing the ball on an eggcup balanced on the keepers head from your own half.

Ahahaha, oh if I ruled the world that would be first on my list, followed by moving Andy Gray to a deserted island with the punishment of having to "teekkkk a bow son" every minute and a half.

Hargreaves and owen can't be included on that list as they have pretty much done nothing for the club.

But we do have Smalling (potential is there), Nani, Anderson, Hernandez, Rooney, Lindegaard, Rafael, Fabio, Bebe, Jonny Evans, Valencia, Obertan, Macheda, Gibson, De Laet, Welbeck.

Most of the above would get into most premier league teams.

All either established or showing great potential for the future. All of the above 26 or under.

Agreed all good enough players, but other than Rooney where's the experience? IMO Man U's success in the last few years is the ability to hold steady and thrash out wins when they are not playing to well, this in part is down to the experience and leadership in the squad, they don't panic and they know how to win even when the cards are stacked against them.

One post you're saying they're too old, now you're asking where's the experience. You aren't Roy Hodgeson in disguise are you? ;)
