Yes, it's been lagging for several days for me as well.

Example, clicked the link on the front page to read this topic, waited about 10 seconds, nothing happened, clicked again and then topic opened slowly.

It's definitely not right, there seems to be regular intermittent slowness and it seemed to start after the apache issues you've been having.

Looks to me as if the ggogle ad at the bottom of the page is quite often slow to load.
