This would be ideal for an affiliate site with plenty of free audio books available, Audible,co,uk have plenty of freebies and good commission on sign ups. There are literally thousands of free audio books that entice people onto a site.

There are also a number of lesser domain names so resale is a strong possibility!

But how much is it worth or should I simply let Domainlore decide?

How you will you make money from an affiliate site that gives things away?
If you can find a selection of free books then I am sure you could make some money from google ads etc.

I thought about that when I first booked it but this is how my logic went:

If my site is about free audio or simply audio books books and my target audience is the UK then there is no better domain name to own than freeaudiobooks.co.uk whether this will be the site name or redirected to it. The holy grail is to get people on our sites and what better way than offering something free, we already know that 9900 people approx per month are typing it in. So it's the hook to catch the visitor.

Secondly, once people are on my site they can have free audio books but also the opportunity to buy audio books, sign up for a free audio book program or simply click on an ad. There a number of well established sites that do exactly as above and I can only assume they are getting some revenue from free audio books.

I must admit I have no plans on developing this myself as I am trying to be a domainer not a developer; hence the reason I am accepting offers

I am sure there will be many who mock my logic, in my defence at least I thought it through this time rather than my previous plan of buy first and think later

I was going to say definitely worth more than the catch fee but Brum has proved that.
Audible.co.uk have quite a good affiliate scheme and I have download a few free chapters from there.

I was thinking about doing it that way but I am conscious that like me Acorners are predominately traders and I am obviously looking to squeeze every penny out of it to reinvest in other names, secondly as I have now had 1 firm offer and a couple of other enquiries from outside Acorn it would be a bit premature of me to commit to sell it on here, the reason I say that is because I do not want to string Acorners along simply to bump the price up.

I have re opened this thread for your views, specifically I am curious to know your thoughts on the worth of the set now? In your opinion does owning a number of extensions add value or simply protect the other name?

Note: freeaudiobook/co/uk is currently owned by Nokta and is due to drop in December, if it drops and I get it fine; if not I am not so bothered because the org/uk will do it's job to cover the single and I actually think the org/uk works better with the "free".

What are they worth now?

I am leaning towards developing them. what would you do?
