I am hoping some of my fellow acorndomains members can help me,

To keep this brief, i was negotiating with 2 parties about selling a name, i tried to clarify the terms of one parties offer, they did not reply promptly, so i sold it to the other party, at no point was a deal agreed with party 1 and infact i ended up selling it for less to the other party as i had actually agreed a deal and my rep means more than a few extra ££s.
Anyway i am now being harrassed and threatened by this party saying i pulled out of a deal and they are going to sue me,they are in USA and i am in UK, i have made my point to them, but i am now sick of their threats and intimidation.
I have kept all the correspondence but would like some advice on what to do next please.
The actual deal its self was only for a few hundred pounds.

If anyone can help i would be very grateful as the emails are now very abusive and threatening

Thankyou in advance

If they have no written agreement to sell to them, they have no leg to stand on (I'm not an legal expert), tell them that if they persist in threatening you, you will counter sue through an US lawyer for harassment etc, alternatively, tell them to feck off :)

They are trying to intimidate you. Essentially, in a case where people like this stall, "time is of the essence" implicitly, so go tell them to do the other thing.

Have to agree with that.. the legal concept of "Procrastination" or "you snooze, you loose" comes into effect.

Respond with. We shall await to hear from your legal counsel, as we are no longer willing to discuss this as the domain has since been sold.

Tell them that you have forwarded their abusive and threatening messages to law enforcement and, and then just ignore them.
