The latest platform from 1plus.net

Been a long time in the making, however we have at AdShack.com;

a contextual banner feed
tag cloud banners
XML feed (further application needed)

All fed by the finest of Yahoo feeds.. Lots of customisation options available.. And hopefully an attentive and personable support.

Its just about in beta and so we welcome criticism, both positive and constructive (which im sure my fellow domainers will have in abundance). :)

Cheers fellas

Ian

Using the XML feed you offer, would one be able to create own parking pages? Is it 1-click or category only, 2-click pages?
How do you find Yahoo!'s feed perform for the UK traffic in terms of revenue?

Hi,

First up, we only serve 1 click results now; either via iMODO or via AdShack.com (aside from the deliberate 2 click tag banners found at adshack)

If you are looking for an XML solution - then certain traffic and quality assurance criteria need to be met. However, we do offer both an XML solution at iMODO.com for traffic partners (including to one or two domain parking companies) and an XML solution via AdShack.com for web publishers..

We also offer a full page directory banner at adshack which is similar to a directory parking page.

Hard for me to answer objectively really. And the truth is, we really wont know until we get the wagon rolling in its proper sense.

Best bet is if you have a website where you serve banner ads, give us a try and see how it goes. Most importantly, whilst were still ironing out our platform we appreciate all feedback - good or bad.

I just signed up to have a play and want to use the Easy Feed option but it doesn't seem to work, is there a problem with it or does it take a while to start showing? The other Ad styles I've tried showed instantly.

Cheers, Grant

I signed up last night and only had a quick play around found easy to use and had an add working within minutes. One question about detail the subjects seemed a litle bit limited so for instance the add I created for my site relating to shares should idealy cover stocks , shares , forex , spreadbetting , trading etc but comes up with business plans , work from home and similar. Hopefully I am missing something and will look into more detail this weekend.

There is a 2 click tag banner that should cover those subjects. Or a category to match your content once its been indexed properly. You can also edit the keyword field to call very targetted ads. Best bet is view the video tutorials for getting banner codes..

Tried Yahoo

I tried yahoo a while back and had precision match and xml feeds. We have a few hundred sites and there were no matches for much of the content. It's nice that you can get XML to integrate but the depth isn't there. The eCPM on Yahoo was round one third of that of Google. If you can use Google I think it's a better solution. Our sites are indexed at PTS: Unique Content Written By Experts.....

I think a good contextual page has only one way out - an ad click!

AdShack does not have the precision match feed.

I applied for an account over a week ago and still waiting for the feeds to be activated, how long does it take?

Note: It will show public service ads in the meantime.

Hi Alan,

We had teething problems in that "our upstream partner" ;) insist on approving everyone of our users by hand themselves - different to domain parking. This has been a somewhat longwinded and cumbersome process until now.

Hopefully everything is resolved and I think were only waiting on applications from the past 2 days from them now.

In addition to our banner ads, if you require our XML ad feed then a different and additional set of requirements are needed - being; your site is built, you hopefully have a search box on the site already, your site hasnt been thrown together in 5 minutes and you preferably have stuff like contact us and privacy policy pages on your site.

I guess for the long term benefit of all, being careful with applications will serve us all well in the long term.

If anyone wants to chat about it, then youre more than welcome to give me a call or, if youre at this domainer meeting tomorrow night (which im surprised no-one mentions on this forum, being the number of well known faces i saw last month meet up) I can talk to you then. :)
