Hi All,

I'm new to domaining, this was the go to site that was recommended to me by my more experienced domaining friends.

So far purchased some good domains, and made some mistakes also (purchased trademarked names, thought I had struck gold - how naive!!!)

I don't want to get in trouble on here, would I be able to post the list of domains I've purchased and get your feedback on which are valuable and which ones are not?

If not that's cool, any pointers anyone can give a novice starting out would be appreciated also.

One thing I always suggest to people is ask yourself a few questions...

How can I make money using the domain ?
How can someone else make money using this domain ?

There are exceptions to the above 2, but if you can't think of how you or someone else can make money, then you may have fools gold. i.e. Looks great at first, but upon closer inspection its just gold leafed tin

I suggest keeping an eye on domainlore auctions to see what the industry is buying, have a look through domainprices.co.uk for historic sales and see the prices. Worth bearing in mind now probably not the best time to sell, we appear to be just raising from the .uk slump.

Thanks for that!!! Some good points, could have saved me a few quid. Where would you recommend I list the domains I purchased to get an overview of what is potentially good and bad?
