Please let me know if it is recommended to register domains at 1and1.co.uk ?

They are a nightmare of a company. Search this forum or Google and you'll find a trail of unhappy customers.

I wouldn't touch them...

I don't rate 1&1 that highly either. Their support is not that good and their online interface isn't easy to use.

I use Heart Internet for my .co.uk and they are fine.

I rate them somewhere be sliding down a razor blade and landing in the middle of an olympic pool of vinegar and chilli and jumping on a bicycle with no seat on.

So yeah, good to wish on your enemies but as a registrar, no.

LOL: :) Can't even imagine that !

Aside from all the negative reviews, I've always thought the name 1&1 to be a stupid name for a registrar. If you're going to pick a name for an Internet company (especially one that specialises in domain names), for God's sake choose a name/ branding without invalid characters so it exactly matches your domain name string!

I have known people who went really crazy because of 1and1 or 1&1. Stay away.
