I'm having problems getting a site indexed by google and a lot of people are suggesting it could be the affiliate ad links. Is anyone aware if this ever being the case with one of their sites?

affiliate ad links do not affect your site in anyway shape or form.

there is also speculation about googles "30 day sandbox" where new sites are placed before being considered for inclusion in the results
although google have denied this

that said and done.. 1 of my domains that i reg'd 2 days ago is indexed already

I think a lot of people may not agree with that... myself included.

well if that were true i would have had problems with all of my sites

i have over 38 domains with affiliate urls and all are ranked and some within the top 5 across all engines

Poor content is what affects your site ranking

I setup redirects in cpanel ( see my affiliate tip #1 thread )
and have had no problems whatsoever with SE rankings
