Morning all

Basically, on Friday night in a drunken rage at Microsoft, I registered pwnedbymicrosoft.com

At the time I thought I might develop it into some sort of opinions/guestbook site where people can leave comments if they are irritated by Microsoft (a sort of free speech forum).

Thinking about it now, I'm probably heading straight for a law suit if follow this through, but I would appreciate your thoughts on this.

Thanks

Matthew

This registration is a non-starter. As soon as your website came to any sort of prominence, you could be closed down by Microsoft as the trademark holder. Before registering a domain, you can check for trademarks first at:

Why the rage anyway? Whilst I'm not a fan of all Microsoft products, I am a fan of their asp.net development language, and the upcoming Windows Vista OS is going to be cool. Also, Bill has now started the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation which does some great work in global health.

Read Robert Scoble's blog for an inside view on Microsoft:

All the best

Thanks for the replies...

I agree with your statements, and the Gates' do a lot for charity etc. so fair play to them.

Can I get the domain deleted?

If you wanted to you could, but just not using it would be enough to keep you out of trouble IMO.
