During this year i am planning to develop the name BLURAYFILM.CO.UK into a mini site and because of it's generic title i was going to purchase 3000 keyword in links and 3000 category in links in the hope that this would put me somewhere good in the rankings- once established i plan on developing what call an o.p.s site ? other peoples stock- basically an online store for dvds e.t.c in which i hold no stock.
i have been involved with the domain business for 18 months now and wasted my time in simply paking !
PLEASE GIVE SOME ADVICE !
THANKS !

All of your issues have been discussed many times on this site. I would suggest reading the thread "making a domain earn £1 per week"

http://www.acorndomains.co.uk/affiliate-marketing/15996-making-domain-earn-1-week.html

You will also find info on the forum on buying links. I personally wouldn't buy the 3000. If you want to buy links, find sites in a relevant category with a good ranking and PR and see if they will put a link on their site. 1 decent link is worth more than a hundred poor ones imho, and these paid links can have the reverse effect on your site.

As for o.p.s - not sure if you mean drop shipping or affiliate but their is a thread dedicated to affiliates which is worth reading.

If you add 3000 links to your new mini site I would expect you to certainly disappear from any early rankings you may gain and not rank for anything competitive until after around 8-12 months, if not longer, a sudden 3000 links is not natural looking.

A better tactic would be to start writing content about what is a Blu Ray Film. Write detailed info on Blu Ray and a Blu Ray FAQ and put it on your home page. Then add Google Analytics or Statcounter to your site and watch the traffic. Watch what keywords people use to find your site and then add pages accordingly. People won't be searching for Blu Ray much yet, but as it picks up you'll see what they're looking for and you can expand accordingly.
