Mushroom related domains

Hi all,

I have recently started to invest in a 6-7 names related to the growing mushroom market (which I believe will follow in the footsteps of cannabis), however I don’t hear too many people talking about it. It seems like a really good opportunity with great future potential! Does anybody here own any or is thinking similarly about investing?

On a serious note is this *really* a growing market or are you justifying buying domains to yourself? Have you developed anything?

I do try my best to do all of the justification before I buy (don’t always get it right but I do my best). I think it is growing due to recent events over in the USA.. granted it’s only one place but it has to start somewhere! I’m sure people who invested in good cannabis names must have been looked at funny before it exploded? There are lots of developed mushroom and shroom related websites also.

I don’t mind people disagreeing with me unlike a lot of people and take all opinions on board

If you are talking about magic mushrooms (psilocybin) then.....

I doubt these mushrooms are anything like of the current and potential cannabis industry. They were not that big sellers before 2005, when they were legal.
(Currently Illegal and a Class A)

The chances of them becoming legal again are meniscal compared to cannabis. There is just not the same amount of pressure for a change in the law.

Quite frankly I would have to say that it is probably a big leap to legalizing any "harder" drugs from a cannabis first step.

IMHO a large driving factor to legalize marijuana is/was the sheer number of users and resulting social acceptance in the general population.

My drug predictions for the nearer future, with an opinion based on my location are government supplied clean drugs to people with dependencies and possibly the medical use of psilocybin mushrooms, if the initial research results continue to pan out.

On that note I recently picked up the domain hallucinogens, so let's party on ....

To further that theme a little further google "santa claus mushroom theory" sometime for an interesting read.

Hi @YVRdarb, thanks for your insight!

I would have to agree as far as the legalisation goes it will be a drawn out process and any of these domains will have to be held for a good few years to see what happens. I would say cannabis is and was obviously a widely used drug both before and after it was legalised so there has always been a market there. The parallels I would draw between cannabis and mushrooms is, as you quite rightly said, the medicinal uses of both and I’m hoping they will firstly be made legal so clinical trials etc can take place and for everything to follow on from there

We are in for the long haul though! I’ll give that article a read as well.
