Need a Catch Script?

Just wondering if there are many people out there looking for a catch script?

Either to buy outright at a great low price.

Or to pay say £15 a month for use of it, and that includes hosting costs.

The £15 a month one would be based on the same server that has saw 50+ catches over last couple of months and over £3,000 in sales.

Although no LLL domains have been caught, lots of pre bid domains have and all LLL's etc have had reg requests sent, just too slow I guess, could be down to speed of server and location.

In my opinion, it would still be a bargain at £15 a month. Tested and beats the two big public catching services. Why pay £30 when you can pay £5?

Uses multiple connections and can poll at the maximum rate allowable.

A few questions answered.

Whole script will be around £200 to buy outright.

Monthly rental option of £15 a month will require a nominet membership.

Yes an adapted version can be made avilable which will use enoms api, this will be slower than a registration to nominets epp, but better than nothing I guess.

Quota timings are variable, you decide when and at what speed your dac requests are sent.

It will be web based and a catch script only, no domain manager is avilable, easier to just log into nominet itself.

Yes it will be accessable from a mobile handset.

The server has in total 12 cores and 32 gb of ram.

in a way yes, there are some lovely domainers out there who dont have a script, and its hard for them to get on the ladder, hopefully this will help.

I was hoping it could be free, but not possible at moment.

its not a great business plan for me at all, its about sharing and enabling more people to catch.

With domain monster upping their prices and some catchers asking for £500 -£1000 upfront for catches in advance, I feel it fair that more people have access.

I cant see it selling much as most domainers have a script, but the rented option for nominet members and as a secondary script should do ok, you can have it also with a connection to enoms api and should offer good value, so no nominet membership needed. This option wont beat any direct epp service, but will act as a great substitute to using some services.

I would still reccommend that people still use the quality catchers, like dacr and others, great service and value there, but some services are awful and at £40 a pop not one in my opinion for average domain catches.

Azoozza - A friend of mine only received an email today offering a world cup special, 15 domains for £30 each or 30 for £25, thats quite allot to stump up, but if you have the money great, as he seems to catch allot. And as I said there are some very affordable public catchers, who I would and do still recommend.

Others - I don't think its an insane deal at all, I have a new baby and the peson who has been selling my domains mainly over the phone returns to study soon, and while the world cup is on, does not want to call anybody. A month away after that, so I see this as a good way to earn an income.

And at the same time help those who dont have access to huge funds and want to start off.

I caught half my domains on a shared hosting account based in the US costing less than $.75c a month and now in the uk costing less than £2 a month, so to make it better I am moving anyone using it to a new server, where the results should do better.

I was told that hosting would cost fortunes and the script had to be worth thousands and thousands to catch even the slightest domain, it has proved just so not true, there were so many smoke and mirrors, it was almost like a scooby doo episode.

The people at nominet have been absolutely amazing as it hasnt been that easy dealing with the errors and blocks i run into, so hopefully they will get a load of new members because of this also.

Caroline, I'm not trying to be dismissive of what you are offering. Good luck to you! But when you say "15 domains for £30 each or 30 for £25" do you mean that this person is asking for this money in advance? If you do, then I have an idea who it might be, and so might a couple of others on here.

Your service is outstanding as people tell me all the time, from bangalore to sydney people tell me about it, been doing a lot of research lately lol

I would have loved to use a service like yours, but the cost to start puts off the less business minded like myself.
