A newly registered domain is unlikely to get significant traffic. The recommendation is to develop the site, get ranked and listed etc, then park once regular traffic is obtained.

But why would you park a domain once developed? In my experience, earnings from adsense (and affiliate) beat parking hands down. ???

there is a third one to be added to that and its
your own advertisers lol

that beats parked pages /beats adsence

Adsense v Parking

I'm with Pendragon, I have couple of parked domaines and only 1 developed site. The developed site has some adsense and earns ten times the combined revenue of the parked sites.

If you develop and then park the domain after a year or xx months, then you will need to rely on backlinks as Google will drop the domain from their listings.

So true, and a regular dilemma for me, running a few forums that earn squat but have good traffic.
