I'm new to all this and need some very basic advice.

Lets say I buy a domain name for eg, bigdogs.co.uk…..if a browser types big dogs into their Google search bar will big dogs be prioritised at the top of the search rankings on having a direct correlation with the domain name or would they need to type bigdogs (ie, with no gap in between) or would neither of that matter as it's position is determined by other factors?

Any guidance gratefully received.

The reason I want to know is that I am weighing up whether to buy a 2 word domain which the Google key word tool tells me the 2 words together are typed into Google 30,000 times per month ie, big dog (but its not actually big dog!)

Thanks in advance for your help.

Google will show their own results, bigdog.co.uk will not naturally appear at the top HOWEVER it would be a lot easier to rank no.1 with some quality backlinks for the term 'big dog' as google does give weight to exact keyword domain, so it can help greatly but doesn't put you there automatically, you still need some effort put in.

doesn't matter if they type "bigdog" or "big dog" your domain will get same priority unless the user type "dog big"
