Wow! That should keep us busy for a while
That list is actually double the number we've brought out in 6 weeks!
Just some comments:
sport - a template with a sporty edge and feel.
We've thought about one of these for quite a while, but, like electronics, it's such a massive topic to really encapsulate in one page. However, unlike electronics, you cant really give a sporty feel to a page without going into the sport which the domain is targeted towards. As you can see on the sports header, if you have a rugby domain, it instantly renders the sports header redundant as rugby isn't featured. If you have sport.co.uk, then a sports page is perfect, but if you have badminton.co.uk, things get tricky. Also, a US sports page would be entirely different to UK. Even a German one is different to the UK - Handball and Ice Hockey being huge in Germany. Cricket not so much.
So this is a tricky one and therefore not top priority in the template list.
adult - soft/dating. More orientated towards dating. Bit like the icon but a softer edge to it and different links.
We already have a very nice mock-up of this one. Hopefully we can get it live next week. It's still iconised but much softer and more dating, schmoozing-related.
shopping - portal style, catalogue style.
We've actually had a shopping one ready for some time now, I'll see if I can find it somewhere.
education & study - using business for now.
I suppose the business one fits this pretty well, but certainly something to be looked into. Finding the right focus between school, university and business education could be tricky.
diy / home improvement / home & garden - The property/real estate suffices for now but one more orientated to other home aspects would be good.
Not a huge amount of domains in the DB in these areas, but it's a nice one to have on the list.
I think these would require two different templates.
health & beauty / fitness
Definitely.
property2 - brighter & greener.
I'll see what I can do. Property was another tricky one where houses look different all over the world. Even houses in Yorkshire look different to houses in Devon, so finding a truly international feel to it was very tricky, thuse the monopoly.
fashion & style / urban culture
entertainment & tickets
toys, games, hobbies
Yes to all of these.
default1&2 - similar to internet but alternate header etc
It would certainly be interesting incorporating the new into the old and seeing how it comes out
Noticed traffic up when using templates, as is ctr.
So much so all bog standard domains have been changed to 'internet' and moved away from old style parking.
I'm delighted to hear that there has been an upkick in performance. We've been seeing this on the system too. I'd be interested to hear how your experimient of having all pages on the internet page works out! It would be good to have interchangeable headers on that one. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea
Remember though that this is a time when the traffic is naturally increasing as weather becomes colder.
