Social Media Linking

Most of you are developing domains and understand, if not are experts, with SEO. I don't write programms nor can i SEO and develop. I use a developer and a backlinker but all this takes away from the profits as i just buy and sell.

So why aren't we using this social media better, between us? Forgive me being niave but surely if we all put 3 or 4 backlinks and a few FB pages and twitter and Google plus likes then this has to give us a small boost at the low end of the market?

I know what a prat, but i don't like paying, is there nothing to be done between us?

I am now paying to have some freshstore builder sites devved but i would really be looking for some free help or advice in getting them well listed, or at least increasing the liklihood of good ranking?

Anyone else in the same boat?

Better off doing backlinks for getting sites ranking at the moment. I would also suggest putting a spreadsheet together of well-ranked blogs and good directories (look at your competitors' links and google things like 'dofollow blogs')...you can get lots of links for free, but you will have to invest a bit of time.

Swapping links with Acorners would be good but be careful it doesn't end up looking like a link wheel/network.

Affiliate sites are getting tougher to rank well I think - established sites are good but it's tough for new sites...anyone else noticed this?
