the best place for domains?

i was wondering if you purchased a domain from say "go daddy" and you would like to sell it would it cause any problems in transferring it from an American company,also which companies are best for purchasing domains??

i only ask because the place i normally buy has a problem with it's website,and because the strength of the pound to the us dollar is strong.

It depends what domains you are registering transfer process differs on each tld/cctld.
