1220 "searches" in UK Google 17000 web "searches"
186 "searches" in UK Yahoo! 32300 web "searches"

No traffic stats...

You are confusing the number of times a string of words have been "searched" on Yahoo or Google, and the number of times the search engine found these words in a web document.

If you want to know how many times a word has been "searched" on Yahoo UK you need to use the Overture tool :

http://inventory.uk.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/

For Google, either multiply that figure by ten or go in your adsense account and use the traffic estimator.

What you will see will go a long way into explaining the lack of traffic... sorry, I mean the lack of traffic stats. ;-)

I was talking about search results in quotation marks!!! But cheers for the link....Lex

as quoted from googleguide.com

A query with terms in quotes finds pages containing the exact quoted phrase. For example, [ "Larry Page" ] finds pages containing exactly the phrase "Larry Page." So this query would find pages mentioning Google's co-founder Larry Page, but not pages containing "Larry has a home page" or "Congressional page Larry Smith." The query [ Larry Page ] (without quotes) would find pages containing any of "Larry Page," "Larry has a home page," or "Congressional page Larry Smith."

********************************************************
search for "www.voipaffiliate.co.uk" you get zero
search for "voipaffiliate" you get 33
search for "voip affiliate" you 16,500

searching using inverted quotes on google can be useful for showing links to domains, ie: www.aptimal.co.uk shows no backlinks on google using the traditional link: tool, but search with inverted commas reveals some nice link history...

ps.. aptimal.co.uk is my domain and open for offers ;-)
