Gradually moving myself away from the business......but what do I do next?Huh? Suggestions welcome, but must conform to this:

Interesting
Different
Something that can change the norm
Disruptive
Feels good

Profit is not the goal
Happy to loose money to do it
Have cash, resources and staff on hand to make it happen

Setup a viral marketing company called NAKED EXPOSURE and allow companies to hire streakers and daredevils etc to promote their business, I have streaked at 2 major sporting events including a Man utd game and could help.

Something to do with reducing houshold power costs.

If you look into PV cells, heatpumps etc. which all help reduce ongoing bills, everything seems to cost about £10k to have installed. There must be a way to bring that right down so that it's more accessible to people who can't burn £10k.

On a similar track, drop in replacement electric engines for common car/engine combinations. Turn up to a garage, they replace your petrol engine with an electric engine. Bing bang bong. MASSIVE potential. Can you imagine being able to turn your Focus, Saxo, 3 series etc. straight into an EV for an affordable amount?

I would do something for my favourite charity, be it raising awareness and funds for them through some method.

An idea that past through my mind was to have an 'affiliate' based charity site - people use the links on the site to find a good retailer when they want to buy something (ie: they click electronics and a few come up) and a charity gets the commission.

If you want different but potentially hugely profitable - make a good web app (like youtube, facebook, etc) They are pretty fun to make

That sounds like a smart idea. Pick an industry where there's 1 really entrenched competitor then outsmart them and run rings around them. It will be a huge uphill battle but could provide plenty of entertainment along the way, and of course coming "fresh" to the table in 2011 gives you certain advantages that a site that has been going for years or decades can't easily duplicate e.g. better SEO, more up to date site structure/navigation etc.

A while ago I bought www.domesticviolence.co.uk and intended on building a helpful and useful website, it's got a basic site on there at the moment, and I intend to try and find contributors to add content (specialists in that field, victims, perpetrators etc)

Maybe you could do something similar, create a useful and helpful resource for others maybe less fortunate
