thought i would post this here as other forums have tendancy to delete
Recently i pointed out the fact that a domain i was watching(zone1.com) was dropped and then before I noticed (and pool!) re-signed.
Now apparently the whois record change is not a "instant" indicator that the name has dropped. So monitoring the whois record will not help you register that domain before other automated systems.
Can anyone tell me (pm if you like) what these automated systems look at in order to have an instant indication that the domain status has changed?
and if anyone knows any useful reading on this mater (querying the instant whois and domain status monitoring) please send me some links
many thanks
