Just out of interest people whats the best site you have built using wordpress?

For Design, Functionality and Professional looking?

I'll start with 2 (not the best but the best of what ive done up to now)

A town information web site
still under construction but will have integration and features to the eyeballs.
A local Lining company company was given 3 designs to choose and went for this one. He can update news which helps with SEO and upload new images to the gallery.

We are finding word press to be very versatile and powerful which keeps things tidy and cost effective.

I'd probably go with my voucher code website....

www.buyandgo.co.uk - Just running a freebie template but quite a few plugins and a few custom tweaks.

thinking more of how far away you can get from a word press template and make it your own from a sliced up image.
But yes they are great for heaps of things.

Whats that theme Paul http://www.outdoorpursuits.org.uk/
Very nice temp - got a link for it?

My fave is what Im working on at the moment Multivitamin.

This thread defo shows the versatility of wordpress. I wouldnt even have recognised thisiswhitby.co.uk was powered by wordpress unless you'd said!

Any site can be placed into wordpress you just need to know a bit about it.
Create a graphical image to be sliced and your half way there.

ThisisWhitby was actually a standard web template that i have tweaked and converted to WP. Lot of back end functions going on too, which helps with the WP interface in managing.

Any more?

I've been playing around with themes but nothing to show yet.

I just wanted to comment about a couple of the sites - where the css isn't 100%, might be nitpicking, sorry

I'm on Firefox on Mac.

Outdoorpursuits.org.uk - the navigation on the left goes lower than the black background of the main body when the article is short, like the main page.

Anyname.co.uk, the menu stuff on the bottom is aligned left whereas the page is aligned centre.

I can send screenshots later if you wanna see what I'm seeing

They look good otherwise though.

An interesting thrad and some good examples of what WP can do... I currently only use it for one site Quad Letter Domains and it failry recognisable as a WP site. Have another site set up and ready to go but haven't got round to creating any content for it yet!

Rich
