Kass is this your domain?

I like it but I wouldn't have bought it at that price.

The truth is coventgarden may be famous and a nice place, but it's small.
There are bars, restaurants and shops... but I think it's difficult to make money out of this name?

It might get high in the search engines for the name, but not sure how it can be developed to bring in cash to pay off the purchase price?

Then weigh it up against developing a free to reg name for th area. Investment in either will most likely bring in the a similar amount.

I do like the name though and it could be a nice little site, I'm just going off names that sell in this range with no obvious commercial angle.

Just my opinion, I may be way off here.

I don't see why you would pay 5k for this and if i did i would want the .co.uk thrown in.

Covent garden is one of my favourite places in London but athough famous and reasonably busy it is only small.

I would concentrate on letting agents for property in that area, 12k per month for a 5 bed house : check this >>> Houses For Rent Covent Garden - propertyfinder.com

Imagine the commission

A blog!! What are you on crack?! lol...

Great name, travel, accommodation, restaurants...
A tourism and travel blog I should say... but if you want to offer something, still might be a good one for travel products..

Thanks guys the site will be live in the next 1-2 months, i will make money using ticket switch, laterooms, londonpass, livebookings affiliate programs, you can perview the site look and layout with the images below and let me know what you think please etc

Coventgarden.com will work the same way as prizedraws.com where londoners can post reviews on businesses and upload pics and videos about the area for points to enter weekly prize draws offered by local covent garden businesses like win a dinner for 2 at La Porte des Indes restaurant.

Also their will be an ecommece shop section where local market and shop owners can sell their products on coventgarden.com it will work the same way as sitepoint where sellers will buy credit then use their own paypal account for buyers to buy their products so it will be 1 credit for each item sold that way sellers get paid direct and dont need to worry about me running off with their money lol.

Let me know what you think of the look and layout, thank you.

Thanks GeoMal, i used a 3rd party i dont have time or the skill to do it myself.

Looks pricey, nice to see a quality domain being developed so well. Good luck with it.

Thank you very much GeoMal, this domain name is a long term investment, as covent garden hotel keywords are search for 50,000+ a month with laterooms offering 5% commission but i was thinking of dealing with the govent garden hotels direct as they pay laterooms 15% commission etc

Tracking & Payment for accommodation providers on LateRooms

and having taken a look at how laterooms works its not a lot of work to do the same for coventgarden.com plus i dont see any problems with hotels in the area doing business with a site aimed at their area named coventgarden.com all i need is a good london sales company i was thinking of using the same company pocketlondon use to sell marketing ads in their covent garden guide called mongoosemedia.com etc

Mongoosemedia - News stories and advertising sales wins

I agree, I think the right domain coupled with a professional site gives you authority in the area that hotels may respond to.

Good call, didn't even know that 3rd party ad sales companies existed in the online space. Wonder what their commission structure is?

Also GeoMal to give more authority i will signup to one of those covent garden virtual office service cost £225 a month but you get a covent garden address and telephone number plus a personal receptionist who answers your calls like "Good morning / afternoon Coventgarden.com how may I help?" then she redirect the call to my mobile. ;)

With 3rd party ad sales companies i think its 10-20% commission for the ad sold by them.

It looks fantastic and so professional.

Looks like you are on to a winner with both your sites ;)

I wish you all the luck in the world

Gav

Thank you Gav you so kind, its a gamble this domain game but so is life :D

i still have Thailand.org to build, as the official guide for the Tourism Authority of Thailand domain name is tourismthailand.org which get over 40,000 uvs a day so their money to be made with Thailand.org but only if i set it up right like coventgarden.com.
