Have just built my first word press template this one for my (don't laugh) shortcrust pastry website

I've not seen it or tested it on other browsers other than safari & Ffox so if it doesn't render properly on your browser could you take a screen shot or tell me where it's playing silly b's, along of course with any comments you may have about the site?

I'm going to add a recipe page sometime soon that'll list all sorts of yummy dishes that are made with shortcrust pastry, perfect for blogging style i.e today we're going to make cornish pasties, tomorrow it's beef en crout and next week we'll be looking a pudding dishes etc etc

Cheers all,

Fish

Looks good. Font colour isn't great when the sun is shining, but I'm sitting in my conservatory. I would also suggest changing the ads. Web releated not really relevant imho. See if lakeland do an affiliate maybe? or weight watchers? :)
But very good overall. well done.

Cheers for taking a look and your comments.

Agree about advert irrelevancy, have blocked a few in google adsense set-up, & will check AW and find some appropriate affiliate ads to replace the google ones.

What's your main aim with the site, is it to sell the domain?

Some instructional videos would make things more exciting.

Everything works well. Note refers to the font size and color, which changes from page to page... I use IE 7...

I regged a load of cooking/pastry domains a few years ago and haven't really done anything about them so thought will start putting them up with ads/aff links with, as you noticed, a hint that it's for sale :)

interesting to note that this one was always on p1 of goog, now gone off the face of the earth, prob to new site layout so will wait and see if it gets back where it belongs!

thnx! changed font size to same on each page

Rank it, monetise it with AdSense, and hope one day for the sale ... no harm with that strategy.

Looks good from here.

Only advice: if using WP sort the www. problem. In settings you can put WP to always use www. Somehow visitors like www. ;)

cheers for that,

would that also be why I get duplicate meta descriptions & duplicate title tags showing in webmaster tools??

Yes, that might be the reason. Anyway, if working with WP I always put domain to be redirected to www.domain as it eliminates all this unnecessary duplicate content/tags/SEO hassle.
