Book with as many as possible, I've used a lot of those on a regular basis.

Also, are Domain Junky reputable?

Yes, they are reputable, it's run by Alex Monaghan on here.

Sorry to offend anyone with this..

Only ones I bother using are

dropsystem.co.uk
drop.co.uk
domainwatchlist.co.uk

They're the best in my personal experience.

dacr.co.uk was also great when it was running, but not sure if it's coming back.

To be honest the list from http://domainoptions.co.uk/guide-to-drop-catching-uk-domain-names-part-2/ is bloody awful and some aren't worth wasting 5 minutes of your personal time on, let alone if they charge a fee for even booking

You can also post on here and ask if anyone has a free slot available for a certain date, the more money you offer for a catch the more private catchers you will probably get offering.

I was getting a message for a long while on Dacr after logging in that no bookings were being taken, just checked it again and that message has now gone, so I assume they're catching again? Sent Tifosi an PM to ask if he can confirm that, as he runs that service.

Thanks for the confirmation :)

I've had good results in the past with Caught (must be 100+), Domain Monster, Drop System, Domain Watch List, DACr in that order of biggest volume of successful catches.

Domain Watch List seem to be dominating at the moment tho.

Domain View are not catching now, used to be dncatch.co.uk.

123-Reg, Heart aka Host Europe can only take money but can barely even register available names or renew existing names, so I doubt they could catch plague with a time machine going back to 1665.

Only 1 issue that I'm aware of and that was over the a domain which I'd already booked (prior to the automated system) and told a customer it was booked for personal use, the wife overruled me (after catching it) so I offered it for general sale which didn't go down too well (still own that domain though, just using it for another purpose).

The booking is now automated, so I have no control over who gets the slot (unless I hit the database directly and fiddle!)

We operate first come first served booking.

+1  really made me laugh out loud this.

I think you'd be surprised about 123-reg's ability to catch UK domains ; )

Tried 123-reg for catching a couple of years ago. Utter shite.

I generally like their domain services, though.

I haven't seen 123-reg catch anything other than abuse, I'm all ears to hear any example catches, I certainly haven't been beaten to the catch by them.
