Thermodynamics.co.uk £4995
NU.co.uk £3107
Idealista.co.uk £1430

That is a nice sale on Thermodynamics.co.uk. However, it's still showing a Sedo page, so no clue as to what a new use may be. I am a little bit surprised about how much this has sold for, I wonder what the end use might be?

I was also very surprised, a very niche domain (Thermodynamics.co.uk).

"Idealista.co.uk" nice to see value in a .co.uk brandable.

It's a nice sale for a domain that I think would struggle to get an offer of low £xx on here.

Perhaps the estate agent is looking to set up a UK-specific site? A controlling stake in the company was bought recently by a UK venture company in a deal valuing the whole thing at 150 million euro.

It's one of those funny sales where there is realistically one, and only one, possible buyer - and the seller's waiting for either an offer or a note from their lawyers.

Reminds me of the sale of triangl

Factually it is a generic word in the Spanish language and neither contrived or coined. To be sure I have checked this with a native Spanish speaker I know, doing a PhD in languages rather than relying on Google for an answer.

Taking that into account, unless the former registrant was passing off I am unable to deduce any basis for a potential claim of infringement and thus a reason for handing the domain name over or even a "lawyers letter" in the first place.

In my opinion the new registrant obtained the name exceptionally cheaply.

Any sale of "triangl" would have been materially different because "triangl" is contrived and isn't a dictionary or generic word. At best it is a typo of one.

Search Google for the domain name in full. By doing that it could quite possibly be used for solar panel or related heating products. After establishing this potential use I am not surprised by the sale. Personally I'd have wanted more based on these deductions.
