Hi Sedo,

I sold my domain name via Sedo and the ownership transfer has been completed on the 27th May, more than two weeks from ago; however you (Sedo) are refusing to release my payment claiming that the buyer has some kind of problems. Why is this any relevant to withholding my payment? Domain has been sold, ownership has been transferred and verified in the whois db. As of now I have no payment and no domain.

Sedo are very rare to come on here so best to contact them direct !

I sold a domain with Sedo only a few weeks back and they informed me that the buyer said he'd bought it 'by mistake' - something that clearly can't happen as its not like clicking one button and it's done. Sedo agreed that the buyer couldn't have accidentally bought it. They asked him to pay me a couple of times, then gave up and gave me his details, cancelling the sale - so really if things get complicated they take a back seat. It dragged on and was disappointing! I'm a long term member and it seems like a lot of messing about for no gain!

They Refused point blank to give me details of the last buyer I had who were dragging their feet, your lucky they provided it.

Wow that's bad. It was a new member. Maybe if the buyer is established and backs out they refuse? Or it could be that their policy has changed. It seemed like a generic update:

"The buyer's address is now visible in your contract.
You will find your contract ("Purchase and Sales Agreement") in the "Transfer Documents" section."

This what I were sent... "For security reasons this is not possible". The monday in question were Boxing day, and it were about 2 weeks later I heard again. Sedo are rubbish.

Buyers remorse probably kicked-in (just as in the High Street) Though I can imagine the 'Inventive' excuses a buyer probably presents to Sedo. Ask Sedo for an explanation - Phoning at off-peak times is always the best way to escalate with Sedo - email just gets you the lowest level of contact. ( I phoned after waiting 3 weeks from transfer, payment made next day)
