In theory it shouldn't be earning anything, unless it has a big ovt.+ext score or is a good typo?

Even if it is receiving good traffic ie they have stats to back it up, then I doubt it would still get traffic a few weeks after you bought it.

what is an OVT ext score please ?

I recently registered a few domains, and I guess I was lucky.

A few weeks after I had reasonable traffic despite the fact that I had no link or search engine index...I found out that a TV program in Spain decided to have the same name as my domain

Hi

Not sure if this is true because its very difficult for a domain to earn that kind of sum when its parked.

May be some body can throw some more light on this one , may be we are missing some point here.

You can earn well of course if you have a domain name of another tld to a much larger website.

Neil

I use Park4Money.com (free) to park my domain names. I have tried Sedo and Godaddy but they both have very low commission rates.
Park4Money.com displays real content specific (and unique) to your chosen category/keywords. Instead of only getting a % of click profits, you get all of it (if you have a Adsense Publisher number).

Sites with decent content are more likely to indexed by search engines, people find your web site, like your content, and link to it - very simple.
Although I only signed up about 2 months ago, i used a domain i bought from eBay for $0.99 (with no PR / OVT scrore / backlinks etc) and earning on average over the past week $13 (might no be a lot but for $0.99 I cant complain).

Thanks

Thanks ryerye for sharing your views about park4money.com.:)

I will definately try this site for parking my domains as i am frustated with pay-out's by sedo, its pathetic.

I have just started using park4money and I'd thought I'd share some thoughts/findings.....

1. For each domain, you have to register as a new user. There is not the option to have all domains in one control panel. This means logging in to each domain individually and inputting adsense ID, keywords etc. Very time consuming indeed. (the park4money team actually set registered each domain for me, but Ive still had to set up each one individually).

2. You can add adsense channels to each domains.

3. The templates rely heavily on free articles etc which are very generic

4. It took less than a week for a previously sedo parked domain to be included in google results.

5. One domain that had next to zero type in and no revenue when parked has paid for itself in adsense earnings in less than 4 days.

So, in conclusion, it is very time consuming to set up, the templates are just OK, but pages are very google friendly and do attract click through.
I will stick with them for now as Ive seen some benefits and the p4m team appear to be very helpful.

Thanks for update.

I too have put a couple of my 'dog' domains with these guys to see if it is any better than leaving them parked and getting zero clicks and a views a week, one is .org & the other a .co.uk domain.

I also have noticed the issue of having to create a new account for each domain. It has taken 2/3 days for get listed in Yahoo & MSN, yet to show up in Google.

I will give you all an update in a couple weeks time as to how I have got on.

For a relative newbie, getting to grips with Google Adsense gave me a be a bit of a headache but also sorted and seeing a few page impressions but no clicks :(

Best Regards
