Drop Shipping

Go to trade shows, and find suppliers direct if your going wholesale with UK products, often some chinese and other vendors appear.

Adult and Fitness have always been my tagets, and next month we have the Body Power Expo (Fitness) in Birmingham and shortly after we have the ETO Show (Adult) you can get one-on-one with higher ups at these events and actual build a solid foundation. You can then either buy and ship or work out drop shipping deals.

I guess with that you need to have a bit of a business and some sales already to get to be heard by people? I doubt I could get the attention of a supplier to dropship when I am just starting out compared to if I had been trading 3 years and making steady sales?

If you want deep discounts then yes you need some history, but many are fairly open to discus with newbies and as you grow you can work better deals.

They are interesting your general sales history, if your totally new maybe hard but you can show them other parts, they have little to lose, if you don't meet your obligations, they just cut you lose, so can't lose really.

Even though a lot of it is just upsell for an expensive course, you may find some of the material at https://www.junglescout.com/the-million-dollar-case-study-overview/ interesting. Goes into a lot of detail about how to identify niches on Amazon, for instance.

Also this blog post, more to set the mental wheels spinning than to focus on one of the specific opportunities it highlights (since they are likely to have been done to death by now - it's a popular site)

And here's a story about a pretty crude idea (but one with instant viral potential, realised)

And a Reddit breakdown of a $100K/month subscription box company, listing the various companies whose services they integrated to make it happen

A fantastically comprehensive summary of the experience of setting up a drop shipping business (again, beware the upsell of the internet marketing course - ignore all that)

A long Reddit AMA about somebody who created a $3 million a year drop shipping business

Some more case studies, again for ideas rather than for specific niches to copy (by definition they're taken since you're reading the case studies!)

Hope this helps. Yes, most of the above are "very successful" examples and not the norm. But they still offer a wealth of ideas and tips. Good luck.

@Edwin thanks for those links.... one of the most interesting comments on the shaving one " Check your bank account for something you’ve spent money on in the last 12 months. Bonus points if it’s a recurring service of some sort" interesting insight into something you could focus on as you will already know something about the product.
