Probably just a news story or something - to my knowledge exact match can spike month on month if there's a particular news story matching the phrase

If you check google trends may show some more information
 
The local exacts figure is for the previous month, the global figure is an average over the previous twelve.

However, in this case if you look at the search volume trends column, there is a spike in figures for last month, which suggests the data is maybe incorrect.
 
There has been a couple of recent news stories but I doubt if this could cause such a spike in search volume so it could be some kind of mistake.

I remember I think was Axolotl stories in the press after it was on QI, the search volume went gaga.
