Hi all,

Site is cheapdildos.co.uk (NSFW obv!)

Ranks, has plenty of products and earns a little bit commission.

Any suggestions as to how I can increase conversion on it?

When you say it ranks I presume you mean for the term 'cheap dildos' so my priority would be price, as that is the visitors main concern.

I'd check to see how your prices compare - are they cheap? - Your customers will probably have done a lot of searching to get the cheapest.

I'd then look at displaying the price on the landing page and category pages as at the moment you have to click through to each product to find out the price, whereas having them ordered by price would make their price range more easily accessible. Keep clicking through to products they can't afford will soon get boring.

Nice looking site by the way, those fan pictures are a nice touch for credibility.

'Editors Choice' corner banners made me smile, perhaps 'Best Sellers' or 'Top Rated' might be better

All your reviews are by "Dildo King" but presumably your customers are mostly women.

You might want a less male sounding author name.

Thanks, yes they are cheap and vary in price. I definately think I need to highlight pricing on the homepage.

Haha true!

"Dildo Queen?"

Lol. To add to Sessexite's post I also think the site is very male centric. Not sure what the appeal of the various semi naked women with your logo written on would be to, what I guess is, a mostly female shopping base.

Also there is defintely a disconnect between what you promise by your name 'cheap dildos' and what I see on the homepage where there isn't a single price. I would expect to see lots of was £19.99 now £9.99 type text to reinforce the 'cheap' part

Been involved with a number of business in this field and all I can say is its one hell of a competitive market… Conversion rate really will be down to one thing price.... if you want to make more buy / import yourself otherwise doubtful you will.

Love the fans, lol - are they for real or via Fiverr, etc? :)

Id make it so u just see products, name, a star rating, price and then a buy it link...

Saw a documentary about the website Love Honey .co.uk, which was started up by 2 guys. They are one of THE most successful sites in this niche and they have spent £1,000's 'tweaking' for the best conversions.
So, I'd have a look at their sites' 'dildo' category and other Categories to see how they setup their pages for conversion. Might as well take advantage of all their hard work and testing! (And see if you can find the Documentary online: 'More sex please we're British'. Great insight into the industry.)

What analytics software are you using to view how visitors are getting through your site?
You want some type of web site tracking so you can understand:
a) how your visitors are getting to your site
b) what they're doing once on site

Check the keywords used to find your site -- are they the KWs your customers would use to find your products?
Check the path visitors are taking -- how far are they getting? Are they visiting the home page, then leaving? Or are they stopping at your payment page?
