So even if you did manage to get it #1 (beating out the bbc and metoffice) how many people would actually bother going on the site.

It would be my guess not very many people at all.

It's one of those searches that Google has taken over since they'll give the person searching exactly what they want without going to another site - so there's no value to this domain in my opinion.
