About the Meeting
ICANN84 is ICANN’s 27th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a six-day hybrid public meeting that gathers the global multistakeholder community to advance DNS policy, review implementation work, and set priorities for the year ahead. The AGM is also when new ICANN Board Directors take their seats, and it features community leadership sessions and capacity-building alongside the usual policy tracks. Prep Week (online) runs 13–15 October to help participants get briefed and ready.

Program Highlights

Opening & High-Interest Topics: cross-community updates, hot topics, and operational briefings.
SO/AC Work Sessions: GNSO, ccNSO, ASO, ALAC, SSAC, RSSAC—policy development, advice, and reviews.
Governance Milestones: ICANN Board seating/introductions and community leadership activities.
Public Forum & Board Meeting: open microphone session and the formal Board meeting to close ICANN84.
Capacity Building: tutorials, onboarding, and leadership training suitable for newcomers and veterans.
Networking: constituency days, hallway conversations, and receptions on site; robust remote participation options.
