opinions please :)

i have dozens of domains in the same niche, should i build one big site/portal and redirect the other domains to this site?

should i build dozens of minisites?

should i redirect the other domains to an affiliate link/page?

example:
i own ticketadvisor.co.uk and pull in multiple feeds.
and also, takethattickets, coldplaytickets, kasabiantickets, stonerosestickets, u2tickets, ticketsfortakethat etc.etc.

(sorry mods if its in the wrong forum area)

Depends on your timeframe...

IMHO I woudl do one big mother of site - then use the smaller ones to captialise on the niche/exact terms - referring back into the mothership for "more advice" or "more dates" or to "buy now".

Put direct links from mothership relevant pages to each of the microsites, but also put creative for the mothership brand on the small sites - tieing them in.

It's a lot of work - not least managing the smaller ones if you can't automate, but I have always found the additional traffic and 'large network' pays off if you look professional, communicate with users when they need help and provide added value wherever you can.

Also means not all your eggs in one basket...

Good luck.

I would build one big mother of a site first. Then, when you have time, build out the remaining domains as minisites and link into the big site. The minisites will help with SEO but hopefully you will build recognition for the big site and people will get to know it.

you could build something like moneysupermarket.com OR

have 12-20 mini sites, spend 2-3 years on content, seo, rankings, branding, multiple IP hosting, link circles etc...

my opinion is stick to 1, and make it in a niche you enjoy
