I'm new to adsense and was wondering how it decides what adds to put on your page? I have searched adsense groups and someone said it used your keywords but I don't think it does?
I have a page called accessories.php and it is displaying ...accessories ads.
Say I wanted to display football kits how would I do that????

thanks in advance

It tailors the adverts to the content on your page.

Sometimes it screws up but it usually settles down again.

Its important to make sure you have actuall content on a page, not just javascript or images with no ALT text etc.

Its also important to us meta description (and possibly) keyword tags filled in.

Whats the full URL of the page your having problems with?

tHANKS GUYS.
BTFUK i'm reusing a financial template I did as a golf site. I've taken most of the content off and have just started putting the graphics back so there's no text, headings, titles or metatags, but the page is called accessories.php and it's accesories ads that are showing.
I read somewhere that it looks at the keywords so stuck a load of golf ones on and it still shows the same ads?

A little tip, if you find that the adsense is displaying ad's that you don't want on your page, or you think that they are not relevant to your content use the Competetive ad filter, /adsense setup/competetive ad filter, then type the URL of the ad you no longer want displayed.

I found this very usefull on my UKhiphop site as Anti-Graffiti ad's and Graffiti cleaning ad's kept popping up, i didn't think this looked to good on a hiphop site.

Good luck. :D
