Hi Everyone,
I have a question for you: would you be open to allowing advertisers to display a banner ad on your parked domain for £2.50 per month?
After working on this for two months, I’ve finally finished (famous last words!) the Banner Ads system, which is now fully live on DomainUI parked domains.
Here’s how it works:
Park Your Domains
Once you park your domains on DomainUI, you can enable them to participate in the Domain Ad Network. You’ll also have the option to select a category for each domain, making it easier for advertisers to find relevant placements.
Advertiser Selection
Advertisers can browse the directory of available domains. If they want to display a banner ad on your domain, they simply click the "Advertise" button. This opens a form where they can:
Specify the duration (30, 60, or 90 days).
Upload their banner.
Provide the target URL.
Select a payment plan (1, 2, or 3 months).
Owner Approval
As the domain owner, you’ll receive an email notification prompting you to review the advertiser’s request in your dashboard. You’ll be able to view the banner and its URL and decide whether to approve or reject the request.
Payment
If you approve the request, the advertiser’s banner will go live. After every 30 days, you’ll receive £2.50 per domain. Advertisers pay £5 per month, with the revenue split between DomainUI and the domain owner.
Does this sound like something you’d be interested in?
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be enabling this on all my parked domains to see what happens, but I thought I’d mention it here in case anyone else wants to try it out.
For now, this is a managed service as I continue testing the process.
Please keep in mind that you won’t earn £2.50 just by enabling it. Visitors to your parked domains who are interested in advertising will also need to sign up for DomainUI.
The advertiser process might change down the line as I gather more data.
