I was trying to work out how many different permutations there are on the Euro Millions lottery. Choose 5 numbers (1-50) and Choose 2 stars (1-9)

Anyone on here know please let me know ?. I think the National Lottery is
14 million to 1 chance but Euro Millions is different.

(50*49*48*47*46)/5! = 2118760 to 1 for the first

9*8/2 = 36 to 1 for the 2nd

as they are 2 independant draws:

2118760 * 36 = 76,275,360 to 1.

You have more chance of getting buggered from Pred!

joking aside its alot!

Thanks all for that info. Bloody hell, no chance then ,well alright then 1 in 76 million.

So it will need to rollover a few more times before it becomes worthwhile some rich person buy all the possible combinations, and would the local newsagent sell him 76 million tickets . 76M x £1.50 = £114M and jackpot only £75M.

But you would also win a load of other prizes too

Don't forget to factor in the other millions of weekly players, and as it is a rollover, they will buy more and you also get the non player playing because it is a rollover

.

buy them in france at €2ea(£1.34) and you will save £12,204,057.60

Good thinking. I think that the hardest part, apart from convincing someone to stump up the money, would be how on earth could you physically buy 76 million tickets ??. Lets see of it rolls over a few more times and gets up to something like 150 Million then I guess it may be worth looking at.
