My girlfriend has just left her job to become a freelance copywriter and wants to create some portfolio pieces.
Having previously worked for Apple’s marketing team and then for a PR agency, she’s had years of experience writing articles, product descriptions, advertorials etc. However, now going alone, she wants to beef up her portfolio.
She’s willing to write a number of articles for free. No catches, just please note the following:
If anyone is interested please PM me with your name/email and I’ll put you in touch.

Having previously worked for Apple’s marketing team and then for a PR agency, she’s had years of experience writing articles, product descriptions, advertorials etc. However, now going alone, she wants to beef up her portfolio.
She’s willing to write a number of articles for free. No catches, just please note the following:
- 1 free article per person. If you want more her prices are competitive.
- The article should be credited to her (her name, no link required – although an offer of a link and bio would not be rejected)
- This isn’t a linkbuilding ploy. If you don’t want the article to contain links then it won’t contain links. If you want specific links added then they will be added. If you’re not fussed then she may include links referencing relevant sources, but you can moderate, nofollow etc as you see fit.
- Article should be for publication online or for print and she’ll need to be able to show clients. If it is print then she’ll want copies.
- As a portfolio piece she’s only interested in reasonable quality sites/publications with likely longevity. She has the right to refuse a site if she feels that it will not benefit her.
- Feel free to dictate the subject matter. Otherwise she’ll happily come up with an angle.
- I don’t know how many she’ll be giving away for free in total, probably around 10 articles, and although she’s got good lead times she’ll be prioritising paying clients.
If anyone is interested please PM me with your name/email and I’ll put you in touch.
