Tried to change nameservers on some domains i have to my new hosting which has nameservers set as my main url the hosting is under, didn't work and got the following email when questioned:

The error you have encountered with updating the nameservers for your domain to:

ns1.mydomain.co.uk
ns2.mydomain.co.uk

Is due to these hostnames not being registered as nameservers with Nominet.

To register the nameservers you would need to assign these nameservers as the nameservers on the parent domain (expertly.co.uk) including the IP addresses for each host name. Once the nameservers have been registered via this method, you will then be able to assign them to other domains without further errors.

Had a look and can't see how to do this any one know?

If you are creating name servers on your own domain then you need to provide an IP address so the "glue records" can be created.

It's under domain settings or 'glue record' with some registrars. With those that don't have the option you'll have to raise a ticket and ask them to do it for you.

monaghan beat me to it :)
