Hi

I am looking for some guidance if thats ok.

First of all is this possible:
If i change the nameservers on my domains to for example:
ns1.kickassdomain.com
ns2.kickassdomain.com

Can i setup the server to display a page/site without adding the domains to the server.

Or do i have to physically add the domains to the server to display the servers default page.

Hope that makes sense.

Reason being my host is saying this is not possible so before i go back just looking for clarification on this.

thanks

Paul

Thank you i will pass that on to them as they are adamant it cant be done :)

You'll need to set up and configure your own DNS and Http servers for this. Getting a third party to do this won't cut the mustard.

Parking companies run their own nameservers for this purpose, as nameservers usually require zone files to be configured in advance.
