Google are doing more and more to fish out websites full of 'scrapped' content, so im wondering, is the battle against google to make a quick buck really worth it? because, thats really what it is, a battle, google doesn't want it!

I've been building an auto blog recently and I actually feel like im not doing it properly like i have a 'guilty conscience' about doing it! lol Im thinking f##k it just do some research and write some decent content and bring some real value to the net, thats the long term game! it sounds weird but i feel myself fighting against creating these automated blogs reproducing content from the web, what do you guys think about it?

haha how strange, im in the process of doing one now.

In my case im republishing RSS feeds, it is a kinda news portal so maybe its ok.

The RSS feeds are going out alongside new content so im redeeming my self a little.

I'm not a fan of autoblogs and scaping.

I set up Chemistry Jobs purely as an experiment and it does get a small amount of traffic, mostly from people searching very specific jobs. It's earnt a grand total of £0.17 through Adsense since August so I wouldn't hold your breath...

Fresh unique content and backlinks seem to be the way to go! I'm sure this is news to nobody though. :p

Autoblogs are not worth it. Google is far more smarter than it used to be. On the other hand it may produce better results in other search engines. But then again, focusing your efforts on any search engine that doesn't involve Google is a HUGE fail in itself. Best way I've learnt to do well in this area is to produce unique content, build QUALITY links SLOWLY and make your site as Google wants it.
